Bicentennial man

Andrew the robot would fail the Turing test before the falling. Some examples include the time where he was being taught how to say good night. He replied good night Andrew when he was Andrew. After the fall he showed signs of intelligence. He began to have feelings like creativity and friendship.

In the movie bicentennial man, the protagonist is a robot that shows intelligent traits like creativity and feelings. The robot was considered alive by some. I think he should not be considered alive but be given the same level of respect as a living person. Since he shows traits of being human he should be recognized but no matter what he does he is still not alive.

Yes he should be owned until he shows traits of a human. If he does not then it is logical to own the robot. Andrew, the protagonist, shows these traits. Andrew is owned by the martin family and he started out as a regular robot. He started to change and have human characteristics. This means that he should not be owned because he has a will of his own.

Humans should be able to marry whomever they want but undertake the responsibilities as well. For example, any Chinese person will not because they can’t create the next generation, especially Asian ones. The human and the robot should show their own will and if they can then they should be able to do what they want.

Why should robots be equal to humans when they could be better? Andrew shows this through his inventions and his level of intelligence. Coupled with his immortality he would be considered a god in the olden days. This can be thought as a higher being that might as well make the rules instead of following them.

Ai will be what ever the humans make it as. The attitude of the AI will only reflect on the attitude of humans that make them. I personally think that AI will be bad. AI will make people hopeless because no matter what humans do, in terms of brain power the machines will win. This will probably be more like flatline.
